If you are eating this before Yom Kippur, omit the chili pepper. It will be filling yet not heavy. It is important before a fast to eat carbs and proteins that stay in your system, but not to overeat. These beautiful flavor bursting fritters can also be reheated or eaten the next day at room temperature. They also go great with a tahini or yogurt dipping sauce.
