Halva oatmeal cookies

- 3/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt pink Himalayan
- 3/4 cup oats
- 1 cup halva crumbled
- 1 teaspoon kosher gelatin optional
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
- Prepare 2 sheet pans with parchment paper. Wet hands, and using palms of your hands make small flat cookies. Place them far from each other. Bake for 12 minutes. Let rest at least 5 minutes before you try and move them!
What can I use instead of coconut oil?
Butter! (Or margarine if you have to)
is the gelatin necessary? what difference will be with/without?
You can do without. It just makes them even more soft and more chewy than they already are!
